Hailing from the nation’s capital are Teen Jesus & the Jean Teasers - a band of four nineteen year old gals with a penchant for plaid and a knack for crafting gritty, nostalgic grunge pop.
The band formed at a year 10 sleepover after watching School of Rock, and after turning heads in triple j’s Unearthed High competition have gone on to share stages with some of the country’s most exciting names, all the while navigating adolescent pressures and graduating high school. Performing alongside acts such as Polish Club, Northeast Party House, Alex Lahey, Press Club, Spiderbait, and WAAX, plus scoring a national support run with Slowly Slowly on their ‘Jellyfish’ tour, Teen Jesus & the Jean Teasers have their Doc Martens firmly planted at the forefront of Australia’s indie scene. |
